This lady was built in the sixties by a Dutch marine on Aruba, who wanted to sail her to the Netherlands. Due to illness, she was eventually taken to the Netherlands by container. There she was forgotten for a while, and then bought by a man who completely renovated her with a lot of love.

When he got too old to take care of her, we bought her to make our dream trip. We took her through the French canals from Amsterdam to Marseille, where we treated the woodwork and lifted the mast to go out to sea. She took us from the French coast to Corsica, Sicily and from there to the Greek islands of the gods - where she still lies today.

It was a long, hard journey for this old but solid lady. Now she is docked at one of the most beautiful sailing areas in the Mediterranean. In one day she will sail you to Corfu, Ithaca or Keffelania. We can bring her back to Belgium, but she has become attached to the warm sun, the perfect winds and the free moorings - not to mention the Ouzo and fresh fish.

She has a very heavy hull, which makes her very stable even in rough seas. Its woodwork (especially the mast) is admired in every harbour. The Faryman engine is a golden oldie but it does need some love. At the moment it can go forward, but not in reverse. This is easy to fix. We also now turn on the engine with a screwdriver because the cable to the button outside froze to pieces on the French channels.

Inside you will find a custom made wine reck, a closet, a kitchen with sink, a table that turns into a bed, another bed and lots of storage. Also there is a little fridge, a toilet, a compass, outomatic steering system and GPS. Outside you can make a huge sun bathing bed. In summer we sleep there under the stars.

Over the past few years we've added a new floor, painted the hull, applied eight coats of varnish to the woodwork and slowly but surely replaced almost every part of the engine. We also provide the necessary equipment on board to go out into the open sea. (All items that the insurance requires for an overseas trip are present.)

Our trip with the Joufflu was several years ago now, but we went back last summer for the necessary maintenance. We gave the hull a new layer of paint, lubricated the engine and applied a layer of varnish to the woodwork. We refused to sell her for a long time, but with a baby in the house we really have to realize that it is time to pass the torch to the next sailor.

We are looking for someone who wants to give time and love to this lady. Give her what she needs and she will make your wildest dreams come true.
