This Havkat 27 differs from the other catamarans of this type because the previous owner increased the interior space considerably between 1995 and 2000. He moved the mainbulkhead forward and built a cabin roof over the front part of the cockpit. "Twabak" became the best small cabin catamaran in Europe with a good double bunk of 1,40m x 2,00m and very attractive sailing properties. There are 5 seats in the cabin and in the hulls there are two more bunks under the cockpitseats. The sail-storage for in the starboard hull can also be used as a children's bed. The port hull also contains the charttable with navigation instruments and the heads with Jabsco pump wc up forward. The current owner keeps the "Twabak" in great condition. In recent years much equipment is renewed, such as sails, rigging, windows, solar panels, galley equipment and a new epoxy coating under water with fresh anti-fouling. The electric starting Yamaha 9.9 is of 2012 and professionally maintained and overhauled in 2023. The hulls were painted in 2010. The Havkat 27 is now offered ready to sail in Noord-Friesland near the Lauwersmeer.
