After 23 years of ownership, this well-maintained, ocean-going, beautifully shipyard captained and solidly built ketch-rigged sailing yacht from 1988 is now being offered for sale for new owners to embark on an adventure.

The Columbie 451 was designed by Danish naval architect Petter G. Lie and molded in very strong fiberglass at Møns Værft and beautifully fitted at Nordship Yachtværft. Approximately 50 have been built through the 1980s and most are still sailing the high seas. But the boat is also ideally suited as a sailing boat thanks to its spaciousness and excellent insulation due to the double hull and deck and both water and airborne heating via 2 diesel heaters.

The boat is famous for its great seaworthiness and smooth sailing and with 550 liters of fresh water and 400 liters of diesel on board, 16 tons of stability and 2 masts, you have the recipe for a true circumnavigator.

Below deck she is gigantic with 10 large berths in 5 cabins, 2 toilets and separate shower room as well as a large pantry with plenty of closet space.

The engine is a rock-solid Ford 4.2 liter diesel with 85 hp that starts easily, runs quietly and economically.

The large and fully open deck layout makes it easy to work and spend time on the foredeck. And the large 2-table cockpit provides plenty of protection and socializing space for even the large crew.

The sails are fine, but the deck will soon need a refresh with new grouting.

The boat comes with all onboard equipment, including 4 survival suits, 8 life jackets and more.

A boat that should definitely be experienced to fully appreciate the spaciousness and fine craftsmanship throughout.
