Najad Aphrodite 42 ketch has proven herself
very capable in any type of sea. A true Bluewater cruiser with a thick fiberglass hull and
capable 65KW Volvo Penta engine, she is well suited to someone looking to voyage
without boundaries. The ketch sail plan, with choice of rolling furler or rolling self-tacking
jib, a rolling main sail, and a classic-rigged reef able mizzen really allows for a balanced
sail set up in ANY condition.

With the bow thruster, the confidence at sea translates to surprisingly easy
maneuverability in port.

Built under Lloyd’s Register of
Shipping certification, the Najad Aphrodite 42 is a Category A cruiser for unlimited
Ocean-travels. The quality of Najad joinery stands out even amongst other
Scandinavian yachts.

A well thought out interior lay-out provides a large sit-down navigation / work station, a
very functional seagoing galley with two fridges and three-burner gimbled stove, roomy
aft and fore-cabins and full-length berths in the salon provide comfortable 2m
accommodation for up to 6 adults, (officially 8, but only if you’re good friends;). Royal Blue cushions were
tailored in spring 2023 and the burgundy curtains are new from this year.

The HUGE amount of storage and up to 400l of freshwater capacity make it possible to stay out for
extended periods of time, while the double heads and hot water showers provide enough space for multiple crew. An Eberspracher diesel heater will keep everyone warm if in cooler climates.

This Najad Aphrodite 42 has a long fin keel (encapsulated), the rudder is well-protected by the skeg, and a deep forefoot means the boat doesn’t pound to windward. The autopilot and full array of B&G electronics matted to the Raymarine plotter allow for easy passages and navigation.

Sold with full suite of crockery, tools, bedding, replacement parts, 8 life jackets (3 inflatable), etc, so that the next owner can hop on board and start their own adventure anywhere desired!

The boat went through a €75000 refit in 2015 which included replacing the rigging and all the electronics (and I mean all! - home batteries, inverter, diesel heater, instruments, auto-pilot, etc). Since then the wind speed indicator, music radio, some lines, dingy, cockpit tent and spray hood, hot water boiler, all interior cushions, the curtains, and many other items, have been renewed. Maintenance done annually, including changing oil and diesel filters, and normally stored indoors!

Anti-fouling was done in May 2023 and the keel professionally epoxied and anti-foul applied in April 2024. The propellor anode was replaced at this time and sea-cocks and hull anodes visually inspected.
