Rhapsody is a classic traditional yacht designed by the famous naval architect L Francis Herreshoff. She was built in 1980 in San Diego, California in the US, and has a fiberglass hull. The masts are spruce and the interior is mahogany and cherry and Ash wood.
She has spent most of her life in Southern California, with some trips to Mexico.
In 2012, we sailed her to Mexico, the Marquesas, Tahiti, Tonga, and Fiji.
We have sailed around Fiji for the last 10 years. At one point Rhapsody had a bit part in the movie Adrift. There is a great shot of her sailing early on at about minute 13 !
We have decided to stay in Fiji, but realize it is time to sell Rhapsody. She sails like a dream, and if you appreciate and love traditional boats, you will love Rhapsody.
