The Feeling 44 has a lift keel and stub keels so it can sit on the sand without further support. It has very spacious accommodation with very good height and offers a forward Master Cabin with en-suite heads, twin double berths at the rear and a separate heads with a drying locker. All berths have hanging lockers and storage and the master cabin has a small dressing table. There is an additional double berth when the saloon table is lowered.
In the galley is a large fridge locker with freezer compartment and twin stainless steel sinks, and a 2 ring gas cooker with oven and grill. There is a large centrally located nav station with full instrumentation.
We have owned Spirit of Chausey since she was a year old, and she has been lovingly maintained throughout her life. She was on display at the Southampton Boat Show in 2004 and we purchased her from the owner who was the broker for Feeling Yachts. She has covered approx. 5,700nm only.
She is extremely well founded and we have always felt very safe and secure. During our time with her we have been to Holland 4 times and several times to London, otherwise she has been used for local river cruising.
She has many upgrades including the uprated 78hp Volvo Penta 4 cylinder engine, spinnaker and spinnaker pole, American Cherry wood finish. The instrumentation includes GPS, chart plotter and radar, Navtex, Autopilot and the usual depth, wind, compass etc. The chart plotter and other instruments are repeated at the helm. A holding tank for the main heads is installed. Heating is provided by an Ebersbacher heater. A further upgrade is a very neat table in the cockpit which drops into the floor. I had a bow thruster fitted when I purchased her. Her teak decking is in good order.
The sails and new and have been hoisted 4 times only. The headsail has roller reefing and slab reefing for the main. An electric windlass is installed. To the rear is a cockpit shower.
She is in exceptional condition throughout. Only being sold as she has had little use in recent years.
