------------

The Dufour 375 Grand Large certainly packs a lot of boat for her 11.03m. With a generous beam of 3.85m and modern arrow-shape hull, she offers a lot more room than one might expect for a boat of this size. Designed first and foremost as a 'sailing lover''s boat, she is nimble, responsive, and moves easily in light airs, while also comfortable on a blustery day.

He cockpit is a winning feature, with a large table, double helm to accomodate her wide stern and give perfect position to the helmsman,  and her drop-down transom which converts from safety barrier to a great boarding platform with built-in swim ladder. A hot and cold shower is fitted, as well as 12V charging plugs for a table light or to charge your electronics while outside.

The large char plotter is retractable, so it won't get in the way when not in use, and is set up to rotate to face the skipper when needed. The large dodger and Bimini gives the cockpit good sun and weather protection. They were replaced a short time ago and are in good condition. The owner had dinghy davits installed, which are a wonderful improvement when cruising, and a solar arch with seperate wind generator, to help provide you with renewable power.

The engine is immaculate, as everything mechanical on board, thanks to the diligent attention of her aircraft engineer owner.

The interior is modern and airy, with good storage and plenty of usable space. The forward owner's cabin is very private, with great ventilation and storage. The guest cabin aft is perfect for a couple of guests or children.

The head area is surprisingly large, with a completely separate shower stall complete with bench, which make more comfortable to use at sea.

Instead of a third guest cabin, this model was chosen with a huge walk-in storage area instead, big enough to accomodate large surf boards, diving and fishing equipment, tools, ect.

To really appreciate this wonderful little yacht, please watch your video walk-through, which the owners just finished a few days before listing on July 29th, 2024.

Paikan is ready and with everything on board to just bring your rucksack and make yourself at home. She has just had a throughout bottom job, with the antifoul stripped to the gel-coat, then re-covered with a high build Epoxy primer and antifoul. She has just been polished, given new boat stripes, and looks beautiful. While on the hardstand, her owners also had all the through hull fittings below the waterline replaced with Trudesign, models recommended by insurance companies around the world for their corrosion-free material, durability and safety. Her engine was just serviced and her maintenance is fully up to date. Paikan was also just surveyed and she comes with a full bill of health.

A Word From The Owners:

"We are the second owners of PAIKAN.

She was built in 2011 in the DUFOUR factory and was directly sent in a container to New Caledonia.

After 6 years of sailing in the Caledonian lagoon, the previous owner aged 75 thought he was too old to continue sailing and preferred to part with it.

Julie and I were already living on a smaller, older yacht, but Julie was pregnant and we were looking for a very new, larger boat to accommodate the growing family.

We bought her in 2017 and lived on board in Nouméa marina until 2022, sailing in Caledonian waters.

We crossed to Fiji in May 2022, started to discover Fiji islands and we loved the people, the sea and the surf so much that we decided to leave the boat there for a few years.

At the end of 2022, I had a job in Tahiti and so we had to move there but we chose to leave Paikan in Fiji.

Sheltered in a cyclone pit during the summer, we have come every year since, to enjoy the sailing and surfing season for several months. A really great program.

With the business becoming more and more important in Tahiti, we no longer have enough time to take full advantage of Paikan each year and we therefore decided to let other people benefit from it by putting it on the market". Fabien and Julie, Fiji, July 2024.
