The Blue II is the answer of the large French Bénéteau yard to the fast growing demand for cruising catamarans in the eighties. The concept of the Blue II is unique because of the demountable construction with a bridge deck cabin with inner passages to the hulls. Fixed s-section skeg-shaped keels and balance rudders give this catamaran lively sailing characteristics. The engines are placed near amidships, over the keels, limiting the stamping movement. Double steering wheels in the large cockpit provide a good overview and the comfortable trampoline invites to sunbathing upo front. The "Twice as Nice" has been equipped with a lot of new equipment by the previous Swedish owner and is kept in good condition by the current German owners, although there are now some repairs on the program.
