Sowohl der Test in “Yacht, Ausgabe 1/98“ als auch in “Segeln, Ausgabe 8/98“ bescheinigten der “Unna 31“ sehr gute Segeleigenschaften bei gutmütigem Verhalten.
Wartungs- und Reparaturarbeiten wurden zeitnah von Fachpersonal durchgeführt. Im Winterlager 2011/2012 von Comfortina in Schleswig, im Winterlager 2012/2013 von Marina Großenbrode bzw. Jan-Segel.
Die “Unna 31“ wurde im Winterlager 2013/2014 durch Orkantief Xaver beschädigt. Die erforderliche Reparatur, Kostenübernahme durch Yachtversicherung, führte eine Fachbetrieb in Wilhelmshaven aus . Seitdem wurde die Yacht nicht mehr gesegelt. Sie liegt nach wie vor in Wilhelmshaven und kann dort besichtigt werden.
Der vorhandene Rollgroßbaum mit zugehörigem Segel wurde im Oktober 2012 durch neues Großsegel (26,5 m 2) und Baum mit Einleinenreffsystem ersetzt. Im Juni 2013 wurde ein Main Drop System nachgerüstet und eine neue Vorsegelpersenning angefertigt, alles von Jan-Segel Großenbrode. Eine neue Sprayhood mit Cockpitzelt wurde von Segelmacher Hubert Kinnert, Großenbrode, im April 2013 montiert.
Das vorhandene Ladegerät wurde im August 2013 gegen ein Sterling Pro Charge Ultra getauscht, anstelle der vorhandenen Versorgungsbatterie wurden zwei Professionel AGM Batterien LAD 115 Ah von Varta eingebaut.
Sprayhood und Cockpitzelt, sowie Großsegel, Fock, Sturmfock und Genua sind am Wohnort trocken gelagert.
