MANUFACTURER'S COMMENTS:

This Baltic 78 custom is a fine combination of traditional baltic styling and modern technology.
For several decades Baltic Yachts has used the latest technology in both materials and equipment. If the varnished teak interior is typical of the traditional Baltic style, the same cannot be said of the electrical systems, which represent the very latest technology. With all the boat´s operations managed via a large touch screen, the system is very easy to use, and gives the operator both visual and audio feedback. Designed by judel/vrolijk, the yacht was delivered in summer 2008.

DESIGNER'S COMMENTS:

The hull of this new custom Baltic 79 is derived from another Baltic 78, the Lady G, designed by Vrolijk. TURCONERI, launched as ANTONIS, was entirely designed in collaboration with the owner, and therefore represents its family use needs: fast cruising and sports regattas, with a large number of family members on board.

The boat represents the modern Vismara and Baltic trends for fast cruising with a large tender compartment at the stern where a 3.50 m dinghy with inboard engine can be stowed, a large sunbathing area on deck, the stern cockpit for helmsman and crew with all manoeuvres postponed below deck. A large guest cockpit completely free and linked to the stern cockpit via a corridor passage under a "roll bar" which holds the mainsheet to avoid dangers and obstacles. A streamlined and sporty deckhouse but at the same time equipped with very large dimensions to see outside and a large, entirely retractable canopy.

Other features and particularities are the free deck at the bow with the companionways flush with the deck, the retractable anchor system and the furling systems both recessed under the deck. Like the entire boat, the sailing system is also of the latest generation "easy sailing", i.e. ease of maneuvering and navigation even with a small crew. A King Composite carbon mast it mounts a Matrix carbon furling boom served by a captive winch that allows to hoist and lower the mainsail at the touch of a button.

The interiors have been conceived and designed to accommodate a large number of guests without forgetting comfort. In total there are 5 cabins. A twin double bed bow master cabin with its large bathroom, moving aft in the corridor with two symmetrical cabins port and starboard side; each with its own bathroom and two separate beds. In the middle is the lounge with its large sofas and separate dining areas. Another detail of this project is the aft kitchen separated from the lounge. The crew cabin has access from the galley. Symmetrically opposite the kitchen there is another guest cabin, which is connected via a small hallway to the hostess/babysitter cabin. This hostess/babysitter cabin can also be reached from the crew area corridor. A very modern electronic system with home automation controls is installed throughout the boat. The masterly classic Baltic creation completes the work.
