ESPER has been home for Jamie and Liz since 2005 and their adventures have been shared widely with millions of YouTube viewers along the way. Their channel is FollowTheBoat and to the many that know, ESPER has carried them to some of the most beautiful cruising locations on earth. Sadly, the decision has been made to close this chapter and place ESPER on the open market for her next adventurers to take over.
Built by Oyster in the UK, this is an example of the solid seaworthy types that were built in an era of globetrotting cruisers who were seeking seakindly and extremely strong yachts. The second most popular Oyster design ever, sixty five 435s were launched between 1983 and 1995. It came in a few variations, cutter rigged sloops, sloops and cutter rigged ketches. This model also came in either the deck saloon version or the centre cockpit coachroof.
ESPER is the rare centre cockpit coachroof design with an awesome ketch rig complete with all furling sails. She sails superbly in all conditions, this sailplan affords excellent speeds in fresh conditions and she points very high. She has a long fin encapsulated keel with a full skeg rudder.
In 2103 the yacht was taken to a yard in Thailand for a huge refit. She had a whole new interior built in, all new joinery, deckhead and bulkhead veneers. The finished product was a stunning interior. A new 60 hp Betamarine engine was installed along with a host of new wiring and electronics.
Please read on to discover more, ESPER will make a great cruising home to a couple or small family... she can carry you to any corner of the world.. a truly self sufficient yacht.

Moving forward there are bunks to starboard and the busy office opposite, then the v-berth full forward.
The cabin sole is one level throughout the boat and this feature makes a big difference for full time living aboard.
