Custom designed & built by Parks Craft (Australian builders of the Oceanic 42 & 46 yachts) and built in 1987. This is a very elegant yacht with very graceful lines. It is the exact same hull as the Oceanic 46 but has a custom deck and cockpit arrangement. The deck is full teak and in superb condition and has a nice degree of cambre making it extremely strong and easy to work on deck in a seaway.
The roomy cockpit is aft and very well protected with its new dodger and bimini replaced in 2024. The cockpit is open aft and leads directly into the sugar scoop which is ideal for ease of swimming and dinghy access.
The triple spreader rig is taller than the original Oceanic 46 design as this model was built for speed. The vessel is very close winded and sails well in light airs where other cruising yachts would be motor-sailing.
The design incorporates a fully moulded keel so no need to worry over keel bolt integrity. The rudder is supported by a large skeg. Viewing the vessel out of the water it is apparent this yacht was born to go to sea and handle the worlds oceans anywhere anytime.
A full refit interior and exterior was performed in 2005 with upgrades continuing when and where needed.
This Australian registered yacht has sailed extensively in the tropics to 12 different countries & report fast comfortable passages.
She features a lovely interior fitout incorporating rich timbers and executed to a very high standard. 3 double berth cabins, (plus swing-up saloon bunks & drop table for an extra 5 bunks)
The vessel undergoes constant upgrades by its very experienced marine surveyor owner. Recent upgrades include recent purchase of electronics, sail reconditioning, new batteries, new dodger and bimini, engine works, anchor gear and the list goes on.
The vessel is turn-key ready to continue cruising in its current well -maintained state. Just off the slips in January 2025 with fresh anti-fouling.
