With a heavy heart, we are selling our Albin Accent 26 (1976), purchased in autumn 2024 due to unexpected family plans. The boat is in winter storage on Öckerö near Gothenburg, with the spot rented until May 31, 2025.
Highlights & Equipment:
• Sails: High-quality laminate sails (2017) from Lundh Sails – mainsail, jib, genoa (excellent condition)
• Rigging: Selden Furlex 100S furling system, self-tacking jib, Selden boom with single-line reefing (two stages), Rodkick, lazy bag
• Deck Gear: All halyards led to the cockpit, many sheets and blocks from Harken
• Engine: Yanmar YSB8G inboard diesel, overhauled in 2023, 40L diesel tank
• Electrics: Two batteries (no shore power charger)
• Interior: Galley with gas stove & oven, “Lagoon” saloon table (usable in cockpit), manual marine toilet (no holding tank), cushions & carpets, sprayhood, 40L freshwater tank
• Safety: Fenders, mooring lines, anchor with line, lifebuoy, various accessories
• Hull: Solid fiberglass (no sandwich), no osmosis signs, deck in good condition
Known Issues & Maintenance Needs:
The boat was stored outdoors in recent winters, causing moisture ingress through cockpit lockers, deck fittings, and the forehatch window. This led to localized rot in some wooden bulkheads, which might need partial replacement. Fittings should be resealed in spring.
The rudder shaft was replaced by previous owners, but the blade is damp with a small crack – a rebuild was planned for winter 2025/26. The cast iron keel shows surface rust but the keel joint seems intact. Bilge rust is present around the engine shaft, table support, and ribs. Keel bolts and backing plates were inspected and appear seaworthy. The electrical system would benefit from an overhaul.
