The Dehler 25 was designed by the highly regarded yacht designer Van De Stadt. The boats have an enviable sailing performance and are well engineered.

A particularly interesting characteristic of these boats is the lifting keel combined with the water ballast. This clever system combined with the reasonably generous rig allows the boat to sail very well but still be “trailerable” while being capable of coastal and inland cruising and club racing alike, the lifting keel means that estuaries and drying creeks are all within reach.

The interior space is well thought out and provides a galley, comfortable saloon area and a double forward berth. The ability to reduce the boat's draft, by lifting the keel, also provides the opportunity to explore inland waters, drying creeks and estuaries.

This version is neatly presented and has benefited from plenty of attention from the existing owner. Of particular note is the mast and rigging replaced in 2022, engine replacement in 2010, upgraded electrics, throttle VHF and batteries all recent improvements.

If you are looking for a boat that handles well, is economical to own and run and has a wide range of sailing options then this should be a real contender.
