Remarks
ALK is a very solid and safe sailing yacht but without luxuries such as roller furling.
Her classic lines are pleasing to the eye.

She was built in a shipyard for commercial vessels in Sliedrecht in the Netherlands after a design by A. Volker.

Step into the world of ALK! Through the ship like companion way door, step down into the bows of a boat that is both charming, and safe. With her deep split level living, she is a deceivingly roomy boat, and has ample head height, lounging areas, light, ventilation and storage in her welcoming living space. With a fully equipped galley to port, on entrance, and her navigation table to starboard, the walk through to the V berth is via a large saloon with lengthy lounges, a fold up dining table, and bunk bed sleeping. There is a Head and shower cubicle to starboard (aft), an "electronics/ shed" area tucked in aft of the toilet, as well as a forward work station near the Vberth, area, and a large single bunk aft of the galley on the port side.
Her cockpit is deep, spacious and practical.
One gets a great feeling of protection and safety on this boat, both in the cockpit and inside the boat. Her flush decks make any deck adventures easy, and fore-deck work a breeze. She is old style sailing, with hanked on foresails, and one really gets the taste for adventure, and a knowledge that this boat is completely capable in any situation.
She is a Dutch built steel sailing yacht with classic lines, extremely seaworthy, and well maintained by her current Dutch owner who has owned her for 40 years! He has used her to explore remote areas, and dive in remote locations, such as Raja Ampat, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and the Australian Great Barrier Reef. She is the perfect boat for expedition sailing, and would easily sleep 6.
With her modern navigation equipment, her owners continuous maintenance, and her extremely solid build, she is ready for new adventures with a new owner. Currently she is berthed in Duty Free Langkawi, a group of tropical islands on the West Coast of Malaysia. A perfect place to get to know your new boat, and take small steps as you get to know each other, sailing to Thailand, Indonesia or simply staying in Langkawi for a while. Then, when you are ready, head East to Borneo, and The Pacific, or West, across the Indian Ocean to Madagascar, or The Maldives, and then Africa!
