The Pintail is a Westerly Cirrus 22 from the year of construction 1969. She is a polyester sailboat 6.67 meters long, 2.44 meters wide and has a draft of 1.08 meters. With her elegant s-spant hull, the boat offers a comfortable and stable sailing experience.

Some minor flaws are present, such as a non-working top light and a window that needs to be glued. This Westerly's accommodations include a dinette, cushions, curtains, a stove, a cooler and a separate power refrigerator. The toilet is manual and the toilet drain is direct to open water.
